Electrostatic powder coating application
A paint job that’s sure to amaze you!
Electrostatic powder coating is growing in popularity, and for good reason. It offers more than just high corrosion and UV-resistance and excellent performance in salt spray (depending on the type of paint). Electrostatic powder coating is applied using an environmentally friendly process that adheres to the rigorous standards of the European RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). Powder coating comes in a wide range of finishes.
Types of electrostatic powder coatings and their advantages
Our experts can recommend the powder coating best suited to your unique needs.
Polyester-based thermoset
This coating is, by far, the industry’s most-used powder coating. Polyesters are ideal for indoor and outdoor use, and they offer excellent performance. We recommend them because they provide a high-quality finish and have outstanding resistance to inclement weather and UV rays.
Polyurethane-based thermoset
These electrostatic powder coatings offer equal, or even better, performance than polyesters. They offer a smooth finish and excellent colour and gloss retention.
Epoxy resin
Epoxy resin coatings provide excellent adhesion, hardness and chemical resistance. However, they have low resistance to UV light, making them best suited to interior applications. Epoxies can also be used to formulate excellent primers.
Hybrid painting
Like epoxy resins, hybrid powder coating is best suited to interior applications. These powders generally bake at a lower temperature than regular powder coatings. It’s also available in a matte finish.
Take advantage of the production flexibility our range of powder coating options offers. We can accommodate parts up to 25 feet long.
